London’s Favourite Chinese Restaurants the Royal China Group Scoop Six Accolades at Prestigious Legacy of Taste Awards

Royal China Club on Baker Street was last night awarded the coveted three-tier Pagoda Trophy, the highest accolade possible, alongside Hakkasan and Hutong at the Legacy of Taste Awards 2015.

The world-class grading system for Chinese cuisine, founded by Tsingtao Beer in 2008, also awarded Royal China Baker Street and Royal China Queensway the two-tier Pagoda. While Royal China Harrow, Canary Wharf, and Fulham where all celebrating collected a one-tiered Pagoda Award each.

The three-tier Pagoda Award is only granted to those restaurants demonstrating a groundbreaking fine dining experience, comparable on a global scale. The event took place at London’s Grand Imperial restaurant at the Grosvenor House Hotel.

Legacy of Taste judge and School of Wok founder, Jeremy Pang, said: “Both Royal China and Hakkasan Hanway Place demonstrated excellence in all areas of the judging process and are thoroughly deserving of the three-tiered Pagoda.”

The Legacy of Taste judging panel also consists of chef and food writer Xanthe Clay, as well as Michelin Star Chinese chefs, TV chefs, Chinese cookery authors and experts in the UK and Chinese food industry.
