The judging is now complete for the inaugural Conference and Hospitality Show Awards and the finalists are being announced live today at the CHS Exhibition at Elland Road in Leeds.
After receiving over 70 entries from the length and breadth of the country, in 12 different categories, each designed to represent different aspects of hotels and venues, an independent panel of over 50 senior agency professionals have reviewed the submissions to determine the shortlist.
Leading the field is Alton Towers Resort who have a total of five nominations in Best Bedroom (Funky), Best DDR, Best Outside Space, Best Reception and Best Unusual Event Space. Stoke Rochford has three nominations for Best Afternoon Tea, Best Boardroom / Small Meeting Room and Best Bedroom (Classical).
Richard John, Chair of the Judges and Managing Director of RJA (GB) Ltd said;
“It was a very hard decision to make but a great honor to review all the entries. The quality is extremely high, and I want to congratulate all those who took part. What is very evident is that the North has a very rich supply of top quality venues and suppliers, and it’s clear the business tourism and hospitality sector is awash with high quality providers.”
The finalists will now face an anxious wait as the results will be announced live at the CHS Awards on Thursday 30 April at The Queens Hotel, Leeds.
