Melange Chocolate Shop & Café in Peckham are working with Virginia based Catoctin Creek Distilling Company to create a unique rye whisky and chocolate experience. The Creek Cocktail and The Creek Truffles, made with the eclectic combination of whisky, chocolate, mint and cumin are available at the newly opened The Melange bar in Peckham or via UK-wide delivery (truffles only).

Price: The Creek Cocktail is priced at £8.50 and The Creek Truffles is priced at £10.50 for a presentation box of nine.

Chocolate Cocktails

 

Dark & Pear 

Ingredients 

40 ml June Royal Pear & Cardamom

20 ml Vodka

5 ml Lime Juice

20 ml Egg White

Chocolate

Method

Add ice and all the ingredients in a shaker and shake vigorously, strain into a frozen coupette glass and grate chocolate (or use powder) on half the surface.

Ingredients 

40 ml La Quintinye Vermouth Royal Rouge

40 ml Chairman’s Forgotten Casks Rum

5 ml Fernet Branca

5 ml Pedro Ximenez

2 Dashes of Chocolate Bitters

Method

Pour in a mixing glass filled with ice and stir. Serve in a tumbler glass with an ice and garnish with grapefruit
