THOMSON & SCOTT RAISES A GLASS TO NEW FINANCIAL DEAL WITH HSBC UK

London-based sparkling wine brand, Thomson & Scott, has secured a £225,000 financial package from HSBC UK, enabling the company to research, develop and launch new products into the global market, including the first alcohol-free organic vegan sparkling wine, Noughty.

The loan has bolstered Thomson & Scott’s growth by financing working capital facilities and covering expenses for larger orders to launch a wider portfolio of vegan, organic sparkling wine into the UK market and various other territories, including the U.S, Latin America, South Africa, New Zealand and Mexico.

With the funding Thomson & Scott has also undertaken a complete rebrand across all aspects of its business, including the look and feel of its products, website and general brand presence with partners and clients.

The brand took the drinks market by storm in 2016 with the launch of Skinny Prosecco and is set to make waves with its latest launch.

Amanda Thomson, Founder and CEO of Thomson & Scott, said:

“It’s been a busy and exciting time for Thomson & Scott since we launched our Prosecco in 2016. Without the support from HSBC UK, we couldn’t have grown our new brand and concentrated on key new product development in the way we have. It’s given us the confidence and support we needed to launch our new Alcohol-Free sparkling wine Noughty, as the business has moved from being a small London-based start-up to a business that operates across the globe.”

Jeff Richards, HSBC UK’s Area Director in North London, said:

“The global non-alcoholic drinks market is anticipated to reach an estimated $1.6 trillion by 2025, due mostly to lifestyle changes among the younger generations. Amanda has capitalised on this by creating new and exciting products including one that offers those people a high-quality alternative to alcoholic wines. HSBC UK is committed to supporting Amanda and the rest of the team realise their ambitions.”

Founded in 2015, Thomson & Scott quickly experienced unprecedented demand.  The company produces a wide portfolio of sparkling wine that offers 100% vegan and organic credentials, and avoids unnecessary sugar being added to production.
