Fast-growing gin event doubles turnover in second year

Fast-growing gin events company, The Gin Fayre has increased turnover by more than 100% in its second year in business.

Serial entrepreneur, Jasmine Wheelhouse, 28, launched The Gin Fayre in St Andrews, Scotland in 2017. The company has since held 9 sell-out events across the UK and has added a further 7 throughout 2018.

Company growth has been fueled by the firm’s expansion into the north of England earlier this year and the firm now plans to make new hires in 2018 to accommodate fast-growth.

The Gin Fayre is home to a variety of well-known gin brands, including Liverpool Gin, Whitley Neill, Sloemotion and Silent Pool, with newcomers such as Cooper King Distillery, Greystone Gin from The Harewood Food & Drink Project using the event as a platform to market their range, as well as brands from further afield, including Ink Gin from Australia.

Visitors at The Gin Fayre enjoy a selection of the world’s finest distilleries, with masterclasses, cocktails, goody bags and free samples.

Founder and managing director, Jasmine Wheelhouse commented:

“It’s been a very busy start to the year for The Gin Fayre and I absolutely thrilled to learn that we have more than doubled our turnover since year one. The event has grown tremendously and we’re so excited to see where 2018 takes us.

“We have some very exciting plans for the next 12 months including a tour which will take us somewhere we’ve not yet visited… watch this space!”

The Gin Fayre’s next event is due to take place at Easterbrook Hall in Dumfries on 2nd June 2018.
