Bukowski Grill to open flagship Soho site

On Thursday 25th February, Bukowski Grill will open a flagship, 70-cover, all-day restaurant and bar situated in the heart of Soho at 10 D’arblay Street.  This impressive new site is the third and somewhat different venue from Chef/ Owner/ Designer Robin Freeman.

“On a personal note, opening Bukowski Grill in Soho is like homecoming for me after many years spent running the kitchens at Blacks”, says Robin. “We have extended our menu offering with some really delicious new dishes, a new breakfast and weekend brunch offering, alongside a wider selection of beer, wine and cocktails.”

Inspired by an American diner, Bukowski Grill showcases carefully-sourced British produce cooked over charcoal in a josper oven as well as their signature range of well-loved hamburgers, adventurous toppings (think Morbier cheese, pickled red cabbage and chilli pickled Brussels sprouts) and in-house-made condiments.

Bukowski Soho will be open all day and features a larger range of dishes than its predecessors, weekly changing blackboard specials, weekday breakfasts and an incredible new weekend brunch. The drinks offering has been expanded to include some impeccably chosen, reasonably priced world wines as well as their celebrated list of beer from local breweries and a expanding list of bottled and aged cocktails.

Robin’s new menu at Bukowski Soho kicks of with Pork Nuggets with kimchi remoulade, Buffalo cauliflower fritters with blue cheese sauce and Reuben hash.  Larger plates include BBQ bean cassoulet with smoked Toulouse sausage and confit duck leg, Swaledale lamb cutlets with smokey chilli jelly or Deep-fried cream cracker coated smoked haddock with clam chowder.

Bukowski would’nt be Bukowski without their legendary selection of hamburgers and one to watch is sure to be The Smokey Beast, Beef pattie topped with tobacco onions, smoked pulled pork, smokey honey & chipotle BBQ sauce, smoked gherkins & garlic and scotch bonnet mayo.  There is also a good selection of BBQ ribs, slow cooked beef and pork dishes, BBQ and fried chicken and finger licking wings.

Typical brunch dishes include Cornmeal-crusted soft shell crab, poached eggs and hot sauce Hollandaise or Chicken, waffles, fried eggs and chilli maple syrup, perfect alongside a breakfast Margarita, a Darjeeling gin sour or two or a few bespoke Bloody Mary’s.
