Anyone looking for an alternative to the traditional routine this coming season, whether dining à deux or with large groups of friends or colleagues, should head to Aladino’s, a stunning new restaurant located in the heart of Kensington.
With its unique menu of fine Alexandrian cuisine with French and Italian influences – accompanied by an equally unique décor – this warm and welcoming restaurant will bring the warmth of the Mediterranean to London’s chilly winter nights.
The selection of richly flavoured and aromatic starters include the likes of truffled cauliflower velouté with za’atar croûtons and moules à l’égyptienne in Aladino’s savoury sauce, followed by equally bold and original mains such as slow-roasted tender shank of lamb infused with mild Egyptian spices & served with smooth mashed potatoes (pictured) and confit leg of duck with mustard fruits & celeriac rémoulade.
For larger parties, Aladino’s will also be offering a three course set menu throughout the festive season, priced at £40 per head for 10-30 guests.
Diners can choose between starters such as king prawns fried in delicately flavoured crispy coating with Bois Boudran sauce, gem lettuce & fennel and mains of the calibre of fillet of beef with braised shallot, pomme purée, sprout tops and red wine jus. Desserts comprise such irresistible choices as Om Ali (crisp filo pastry baked in a rich cream with a touch of vanilla, topped with baked almond flakes.)
Aladino’s mixologists are complementing these delicacies with a new collection of Christmas cocktails. Needless to say there is not a dull daiquiri in sight, but fabulous new additions like The Slojito – a seasonal twist on the Mojito with its tangy combo of sloe gin and pomegranate juice – and the Red Currant Martini, which sees the timeless Vodka Martini rebooted with redcurrants and orange to add depth and colour. Meanwhile Aladino’s Mulled Wine, infused with a blend of Egyptian spices, is sure to give all guests a warm welcome.
