This year Royal Lancaster London on the boundary of Hyde Park is celebrating its 50th Anniversary and the unveiling of its £80 million redesign. Having opened as one of the most stylish places to stay in September 1967, the new design exudes mid-century glamour and an understated elegance synonymous with London.
In celebration of its Golden Anniversary, Royal Lancaster London is offering you the chance to win an overnight stay for two people in a Classic guestroom for just £8.50 – the small sum it would have cost for a double room in 1967!
To enter the competition, share your memories of Royal Lancaster London over the past 50 years with old photographs, vintage invitations to events and gala dinners, magazine articles or any memorabilia with the hashtag #RoyalLancasterTurns50 on Twitter or Facebook.
Every week from Friday 19 January 2018, General Manager Sally Beck will be selecting her favourite entry and the winner will receive an overnight stay for two in a Classic Room, including English Breakfast for two guests, at the price of £8.50.
The redesign of the towering 18-storey hotel encompasses the complete refurbishment of all 411 guestrooms and suites. Every guestroom has a far reaching view across London, and the modern design emphasizes these premium vistas.
For those without social media, entries can be sent directly to the hotel via post – so take a photograph of your Royal Lancaster memorabilia and send it to the address below with your name and email address, or via email to [email protected].

All of the guest rooms have Handy phones, hidden international plug sockets, bath robes, slippers, The White Company toiletries, waterfall showers and under floor heating in the bathrooms.
