Herradura Tequila and Seabird Bring Sun-Drenched Rooftop Series to South Bank

Think Herradura Tequila cocktails and weekends soundtracked by BBE Music

London, May 2026: This summer, Herradura Tequila has teamed up with Seabird, the Iberian-inspired restaurant
perched atop the 14th floor of The Hoxton, Southwark, to bring a summer series to the rooftop inspired by the slow,
sun-soaked rhythm of Mediterranean coastal living. Combining delicious tequila cocktails, sweeping city views,
and curated music programming, this summer Seabird is the spot for long, lazy lunches, golden hour tequila tipples
and late nights worth staying up for.

From June to September, Seabird will be an elevated escape from the capital, channelling the laidback energy of the
Balearics. A bespoke cocktail list led by Herradura will run throughout the season, with tequila serves including Hot
Honey Margarita with apricot, ancho chilli and lime, Big Salted Watermelon Highball with salted watermelon,
amontillado and soda, and Blood Orange Mule with blood orange, carrot, ginger and lime.

Founded in 1870, Herradura has a long-standing legacy and rich history. The founder of the distillery, spotted a
glistening horseshoe within the agave fields, which inspired the name Herradura – Spanish for horseshoe. This
symbol is now featured on every bottle and is believed to bring good luck to those who taste the liquid. Herradura
launched the first-ever Reposado Tequila in 1976, and in 2009, today the product range includes Plata, Reposado,
and Añejo – each handcrafted using traditional methods to deliver a distinctive and rich flavour profile.

Food stays true to Seabird’s Spanish & Portuguese influences, with a menu built for sharing. Guests can expect
chilled seafood platters, citrus-dressed crudo and light plates designed to pair perfectly with Herradura tequila’s
smooth taste and aroma of cooked agave, vanilla and wood.

London tastemakers BBE Music will shape the soundtrack all summer, curating a rotating line-up of DJs on the
terrace each weekend. Founded in 1996 by Peter Adarkwah, Barely Breaking Even (BBE) began as a London club night
rooted in eclectic, genre-spanning sounds, a spirit that carries through to Seabird’s programming. Expect a
soundtrack that drifts from Balearic and Southern European influences into a wider mix of global sounds with
higher tempos come nightfall till late.

BBE Music will also host three special late-night sessions on the rooftop on 20th June, 25th July and 29th August,
bringing together DJs and live music for moments defined by great drinks, feel-good sounds and a terrace that
comes alive after sunset, with line-ups to be announced. Marking 30 years this year, BBE’s wider summer
programme includes appearances at We Out Here and Jazz On Wick, alongside a series of curated events across
London.

Launching on 3 June and running through to the end of August, Seabird and Herradura are bringing a slice of coastal
living to the city this summer.

About Tequila Herradura
Founded in 1870, Herradura has a long-standing legacy and rich history, being the last tequila distillery to be
situated on its original Hacienda estate. In the early days, the founder of the distillery, Aurelio López Rosales, spotted
a glistening horseshoe within the agave fields, which inspired the name Herradura – Spanish for horseshoe. This
symbol is now featured on every bottle and is believed to bring good luck to those who taste the liquid.
Herradura is an iconic brand of firsts, launching the first-ever Reposado Tequila in 1976, and in 2009, hiring the
world’s first female master distiller, Maria Teresa Lara Lopez, who originally started as a lab technician in 1987. The
product range includes Plata, Reposado, and Añejo – each handcrafted using traditional methods to deliver a
distinctive and rich flavour profile.

Most recently, Herradura Reposado was named the top tequila at the 2026 London Spirits Competition, earning 96
out of 100 points for its quality, value and appearance.
