LOLLY ACHIEVES ISO42001 First UK hospitality technology company to achieve new accreditation for AI Management

Lolly, the scale up software house, has become the first UK technology for hospitality company to achieve the newly introduced ISO42001 accreditation, the international standard for Artificial Intelligence Management Systems (AIMS).

ISO 42001 is a brand-new international framework designed to ensure organisations manage AI systems transparently, ethically and with appropriate safeguards. It addresses areas such as data governance, risk mitigation, system accuracy, accountability, and continual improvement. As AI adoption accelerates across the hospitality sector, this sets a new benchmark for responsible innovation and safe usage.

Peter Moore, CEO at Lolly, said: “We are focused on developing advanced AI-driven solutions, and deploying them responsibly, sustainably and securely.

“I am incredibly proud of our team for achieving the ISO42001. This is a significant milestone – not just for Lolly, but for the hospitality technology sector as a whole. We don’t just talk about AI innovation, we focus on delivering long-term, real and practical value. There is a lot of noise in the market, but our approach is rooted in governance, accountability and measurable outcomes.”

Central to Lolly’s AI strategy is its proprietary LollySense methodology, which underpins the sustainable deployment of AI across its product ecosystem. This framework ensures that AI solutions are:

  • Purposeful and insight-led
  • Practical and measurable
  • Ethically governed
  • Planet-conscious
  • Designed to enhance, not replace human expertise

The ISO 42001 accreditation builds on Lolly’s existing certifications, which include:

ISO27001 – Information Security Management,

ISO9001 – Quality Management Systems and ISO14001 – Environmental Management.

The company also recently completed its independently verified carbon emission offsets (Scope 1 and 2) for 2024, reinforcing its broader commitment to responsible growth.

Moore added: “AI is not optional for the future of hospitality, but it must be deployed responsibly. This accreditation ensures our customers can innovate with confidence, knowing that governance, accuracy and ethical deployment sit at the heart of everything we build.”
