A FRESH TAKE ON A CLASSIC: CAMDEN TOWN BREWERY FRESHEN UP THE STOUT CATEGORY WITH THE LAUNCH OF THEIR NEW STOUT

Camden’s smooth-tasting Stout is available now, exclusively in pubs and bars across the UK

Camden Town Brewery has announced the launch of its latest beer: Camden Stout, which is available now exclusively in the on-trade. Re-FRESH-ing the stout category, the new launch is a smooth, fresh take on a classic style and will add to Camden’s on-trade portfolio alongside Camden Hells and Camden Pale Ale.

Did you know? London and stout go way back – in fact, the beer made its original debut in London before heading across the Irish sea, and Camden is here to show that Londoners can still make a mean stout. And this isn’t Camden’s first rodeo – the North London brewers previously poured fan-favourite Ink, but have been tweaking the recipe over the last few years to create a fresher dark beer.

Fresh, creamy and, most importantly, smoother-than-smooth, Camden Stout is full of character, with berry hop flavours and a coffee-like finish from the roasted grains. Dialling back the intensity of the hops and roast from OG Ink, Camden’s new Stout is a more balanced and sessionable beer. Now we’re (smooth) talking.

With an ABV of 4.0%, Camden has added more nitrogen bubbles for the ultimate creamy and smooth finish. Moderate carbonation balances the smoothness created from the nitrogen, for a beer which is jet black with a thick, creamy, long-lasting head. And, without being big-headed, we think it’s the freshest stout in the land.

Fred Nesbitt, Head of Marketing at Camden Town Brewery, said:

“Did you know that stouts originally came from London? At Camden Town Brewery, we’re all about looking at the world with fresh eyes, so this has been the perfect opportunity to put that into practice and inject some character into the stout category. We have a great record with our Hells and Pale Ale of adding extra value to the beer industry and we have been working on this one in the background for a long time. Our Stout is smooth and creamy with a fresh finish, and without being big headed we think it’s the freshest stout around.”

Stout is available now in selected on-trade partners across the UK. For more information on Camden Town Brewery visit https://camdentownbrewery.com
