HILTON LONDON HEATHROW UNVEILS NEW MODERN EUROPEAN MENU

Chefs at Hilton London Heathrow Airport Hotel  have unveiled a menu, which features the best of British cuisine.

The hotel was recently voted the World’s Leading Airport Hotel at The World Travel Awards for the third time and its semi-fine-dining Aromi restaurant is marking the start of a new decade with dishes putting British produce firmly in the spotlight.

Fish, game and meat have been sourced from as far north as Scotland and Northumberland, while vegetables such as heritage tomatoes and Welsh favourite, samphire, sit alongside wild mushrooms, hazelnuts and chestnuts in a contemporary take on classic pairings.

The new menu – devised by Executive Chef, Phillip Clarke – includes a choice of starters featuring tian of crab with avocado, chilli and capers, a game terrine with heritage tomato chutney and pan-fried wood pigeon with a chestnut and fennel salad.

Guests can then choose from a range of main courses, such as Northumberland pheasant breast wrapped in pancetta, venison steak from the Scottish Highlands and braised pork belly served with creamed potato, cabbage and bacon and apple purée.

Fish lovers can choose between pan-fried seabass with crushed potato and spinach and roasted hake fillet with samphire, mussels and beurre blanc, while a vegetarian open lasagne incorporates artichokes, wild mushrooms, butternut squash and rocket cream.

Guests can then round off their meal with a choice of desserts, including a bread and butter pudding made with panettone, an apple tarte tatin and a cheeseboard served with quince jelly.

The Aromi is one of three restaurants at Hilton London Heathrow Airport Hotel and general manager, Jurgen Sutherland, believes its new menu will appeal to guests and nearby residents alike.

“Freshness and provenance are key to the dishes our chefs have created here,” he said.

“They have scoured the British Isles to find the best meat, fish, game, dairy and vegetables and the result is a menu which marries superb ingredients with creative culinary flair.”

The hotel – voted Europe’s Leading Airport Hotel for the past five years – is a few minutes’ walk from Heathrow Terminal 4 and has a range of rooms and suites, a business centre and a health club.

Hilton London Heathrow Airport is connected to Heathrow’s Terminal 4 via a short walkway and provides a relaxing retreat whether flying into or from London’s Heathrow Airport.
