It’s less than a month until Christmas and time to start thinking about those (sigh) family gatherings. I’m sure that you’ll agree that there’s no better way to kick off a Christmas celebration than sharing perfectly home basked mince pies. As a member of the newly-launched Cobra Collective, Monica’s Galetti has created a number of recipes to share with the public, the first being a warming fruit mince pie with pistachios and chestnuts recipe.

What is the Cobra Collective?

Cobra Beer, founded by British Indian entrepreneur Lord Karan Bilimoria, has launched an initiative designed to support the UK restaurant industry. Bringing together a panel of highly successful chefs, restaurateurs and restaurant industry entrepreneurs in the form of THE COBRA COLLECTIVE, members will work individually and as a group through the coming year in rolling out a programme of inspiring business masterclasses, interactive workshops and ‘how to’ videos, developed to support start-up hospitality entrepreneurs and existing restaurant owners at what is a turbulent time for the hospitality sector.

The Cobra Collective is working with Monica to create and release a range of exclusive and informative content (such as recipes and videos) and hosting a masterclass in 2020 themed: “Getting ahead as a female in the hospitality industry”.

Words from Monica …

Monica Galetti (Chef, Entrepreneur and BBC One’s MasterChef host) spoke for the Cobra Collective panel “When we were invited to take part in this great initiative for the industry, we jumped at the opportunity to support other chefs and restaurateurs.  I’m looking forward to sharing my thoughts and experience and hearing the collective wisdom of my industry colleagues on their chosen subjects.”
