The search is on to find the UK Restaurant Manager of the Year 2020

Restaurant Managers are now invited to compete  in this prestigious competition to become the UK Restaurant Manager of the Year 2020.

Anyone who fulfils the role of a Restaurant Manager (but not necessarily holding this title) is welcome to enter, having responsibility for business performance; managing people; staff training and co-ordinating the operation of the restaurant.

The UK Restaurant Manager of the Year competition is important in terms of promoting front of house as a genuine and exciting career, and rewarding those professionals who are the best in the industry.

Last year’s winner Tomas Kubart AIH said: “It was an absolutely incredible day; I met some amazing people and the judges were so supportive.  It feels just absolutely incredible to be part of something so amazing.”

Head judge John Cousins FIH says what he is looking for in a winner: “Someone who has a general ability in restaurant management and can demonstrate some key successes in their career and their current job. This includes being able to display a range of ability in, for example: staff development and supervisory techniques; sales promotional activities; market knowledge and current trends; menu and beverage planning; customer service; product knowledge; stock management and budgetary control.”

The closing date for entries is Monday 21 October 2019. Visit www.restaurantmanageroftheyear.co.uk for full details and to complete the entry form.

The live final and winners reception will take place at The Savoy on Monday 6 January 2020. Tickets can be booked online.
