TENNENT’S LAGER OFFER RUGBY FANS THE ‘BEST SEAT IN THE HOUSE’

The official beer of Scottish Rugby, Tennent’s Lager, raffle off ‘Best Seat in the House’ tickets for charity with rugby star Rory Lawson

With this season’s Autumn Test approaching, Tennent’s Lager has launched a charity raffle, giving rugby fans the chance to win tickets for pitchside seats for Scotland’s upcoming matches at Murrayfield against South Africa and Argentina in November.

Winners of the charity raffle will get a once-in-a-lifetime matchday experience, sitting just yards away from the pitch, with Scottish Rugby star Rory Lawson enjoying the game alongside.

Proceeds from the raffle competition will be split between two charities that are close to the hearts of Scottish Rugby and Tennent’s Lager, The BEN and The Bill McLaren Foundation.

The BEN offers financial, social and emotional support to members of the Scottish licensed trade across Scotland. Although over 150 years old, The BEN’s Strategy is to continue expanding its support across Scotland and ensure it can continue to help those who have come up against hard times.

The Bill McLaren Foundation aims to support grassroots rugby across Scotland, promoting and developing the values of rugby union and helping to provide opportunities for young people in sports.

Chris Gardner, Chief Executive of The BEN, said: “We want to thank Tennent’s and Scottish Rugby for supporting The Ben and the Bill McLaren Foundation with Best Seat in the House Raffle.

“The Ben was set up to care for people in the licensed trade who have come up against hard times, and with schemes like this we can continue our vital work that supports thousands of people in the trade industry in Scotland.”

Alan McGarrie, Group Brand Director of Tennent’s Lager, said: “It’s fantastic to be marking Tennent’s Lager’s continued partnership with Scottish Rugby by offering a once-in-a-lifetime prize to rugby fans, while raising vital funds for our chosen charities.

“The Best Seat in The House raffle not only supports charities like The BEN and the Bill McLaren Foundation, but also gives lucky fans the incredible opportunity to see the Scotland team play at Murrayfield with pitch-side seats, enjoying the game alongside Scottish Rugby star Rory Lawson.

“We encourage rugby fans to get involved and dig deep to be in with a chance of winning.”

Raffle tickets can be purchased now until Friday November 9th for £5 via www.thebestseat.co.uk, with the option to buy a specific number of tickets or a bundle of 5, 10 or 15. Additional prizes available also includes Scotland shirts and balls signed by the team.
