The Brewery Quarter Cheltenham lands Best in Sector ‘The Botanist’

The New World Trading Company’s award-winning brand, The Botanist, is the latest big name to set its sights on The Brewery Quarter in Cheltenham.  Known for its selection of botanical cocktails, great food and craft beers, the venue is due to open Autumn/Winter 2018.

Continuing to thrive and attract great tenants with new signings in its desirable retail and leisure space, The Botanist is the latest leisure destination to join the multi-million pound retail regeneration of Cheltenham’s High Street – The Brewery Quarter.

Named as one of the fastest growing businesses in the UK by the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 companies, The Botanist was also voted No. 7 in the Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to work for in 2018.

A secret garden of culinary delights and drink expertise, The Botanist is an experience for all senses with an eclectic menu and extensive cocktail, wine and ale list. Visitors will be invited to experiment with flavours and embark on a memorable journey at The Botanist.

Taking a 6,500sq ft unit, the new opening will transform the leisure offering in the heart of Cheltenham.  With the recent signing of Urban Outfitters anchoring the retail element, the signing of The Botanist positions The Brewery Quarter as a primary destination for retail and leisure in Gloucestershire.

Exciting news for Cheltenham and The Brewery Quarter, this site will be the bar’s debut in Cheltenham with sites already in high profile locations such as MediaCityUK, Alderley Edge, Marlow, York and Chester.

Nikki Kontarines, Asset Manager for Martin Commercial Properties, which manages the scheme said: “The Botanist is a fantastic signing for The Brewery Quarter, as the scheme continues to go from strength to strength. The Botanist is renowned for its spectacular interiors and lively atmospheres, and we can’t wait to see the end result.”

Oli Marcroft from KLM Retail, said: “In order to react to changes in consumer trends at The Brewery Quarter, we continue to approach and attract aspirational tenants. In securing NWTC and their Botanist brand, we believe we have secured the market leading operator. We are now looking at other opportunities to bring other complimentary brands to the scheme.”

Chris Hill, CEO at The New World Trading Company on behalf of The Botanist Cheltenham, commented: “Cheltenham is a fantastic location for us to open, and The Brewery Quarter felt a natural choice. We are excited to meet the people of Cheltenham, and bring them onto The Botanist journey with us!”
