Located on the vibrant Greenwich Peninsula, InterContinental London – The O2 has launched a new summer afternoon tea in its ground floor Meridian Lounge.
The summer afternoon tea takes fresh fruits such as mango, strawberries, coconut and cherries to create a mouth-watering menu with treats including alphonso mango and lime sphere, Valrhona chocolate and cherry opera, strawberry crème brûlée and a piña colada baba. Alongside a selection of homemade scones and sandwiches, guests can choose from a menu of 34 specially selected teas, including the Rainforest Lumbini and Vanilla Tea, from the East India Company to accompany their experience.
Aptly named to reflect the hotel’s location in Greenwich, the Meridian Lounge provides guests with a relaxed and luxurious atmosphere, whether they choose to enjoy the summer afternoon tea inside or out on the terrace with views overlooking London’s Canary Wharf and River Thames.
The summer afternoon tea is priced at £35 per person. Guests can upgrade their afternoon tea by adding a glass of Laurent Perrier La Cuvée Brut NV or Laurent Perrier Cuvée Rosé NV priced at £48 per person.
Afternoon tea is served daily from 1pm to 5pm with the last seating at 4:30pm.
