Pho set to make its debut in Leicester at Highcross

Hammerson announces that Vietnamese street food restaurant, Pho, has chosen Highcross to open its first restaurant in Leicester.

Set to open a 195 sq m restaurant in the centre this autumn, Pho will offer Highcross’ visitors authentic Vietnamese dishes, including its specialist dish and namesake, pho, which is a rice noodle soup, alongside other dishes such as Goi and Bun Noodles. Since the business was founded in 2005, there are now 23 Pho restaurants located across the UK, with this new opening marking an important first for the brand in the East Midlands.

The new signing comes as Highcross enters a period of development, having recently received planning consent for the reconfiguration of a significant part of the centre. The changes will allow for a number of new brand and concepts to join Pho and further enhance the strong tenant mix. Already signed up to take space are Zara, JD Sports and Treetop Adventure Golf, which join other recent signings including Gourmet Burger Kitchen. Pho will be located on the corner of Shires Lane and the High Street, adjacent to the new development.

Sarah Fox, Head of Restaurants and Leisure at Hammerson, commented, “Securing Pho for Highcross is a great result, delivering a new and exciting dining offer for the centre’s high number of visitors. Highcross has long been recognised as the region’s leading retail and leisure destination, and with the planned redevelopment and a string of new signings, this position is only set to strengthen.”
