Kingfisher Beer Europe Ltd, has announced today that it has reached agreement with Multi Bintang Indonesia (part of the Heineken company) to market and distribute their flagship brand Bintang Beer across the UK and selected European markets.
Bintang is the No.1 beer brand in Indonesia with 85 years of heritage. For the first time it will be available in the UK market as it becomes the latest addition to Kingfisher’s product portfolio.
Damon Swarbrick, Chief Executive Officer of Kingfisher, commented, “The brand is ideally positioned to capitalise on the burgeoning Pan-Asian restaurant sector and so we will initially be seeding it here. However, we believe it has much wider potential and we have already secured a number of high profile bar listings in London and Manchester. Whilst the industry continues to explore craft beer, there is clearly significant demand for premium, authentic, easy-drinking world beers. We believe Bintang is perfectly suited to meet this demand.”
Bintang is available from January 2017 and will be available in 24x330ml and 12x620ml bottles.
