  • Franchise agreement positions brand for nationwide expansion

LONDON, APRIL 2026 | Coyo Taco will open its first London site this summer, marking the start of its UK expansion as Kuvi Hospitality progresses its rollout of the brand.

The opening follows Kuvi Hospitality securing exclusive franchise and development rights for Coyo Taco across the UK, Ireland, and GCC, with plans now underway to scale the brand to more than 50 locations across UK and Ireland.

The first site, located in Orchard Place, SW1, will launch in summer 2026, with a further two UK locations planned before the end of the year as the rollout begins.

Founded in Miami’s Wynwood district in 2016, Coyo Taco has built a strong following across the US and international markets.

Its operating model includes daily, from-scratch preparation following the brands ‘todos es fresco’, or ‘everything fresh’ philosophy, including hand-pressed corn tortillas, made-to-order guacamole, responsibly sourced meats and seafood, and a dual-format approach combining high-throughput dining with a late-night bar offer.

Shereen Ritchie, Group CEO, Kuvi Hospitality, said: “Coyo Taco is a true Miami institution, with a strong brand identity and passionate fan base built over a decade. It’s a privilege to be leading its introduction and expansion in the UK.

“We see a significant opportunity in premium, fresh and culturally relevant dining” added Ritchie, “As consumer demand continues to shift towards freshness, bold flavours, and experience-led formats, Coyo is the perfect product-market fit.”

The launch site is located in Orchard Place, SW1 – a new mixed-use development with strong footfall, affluent local residents and all-day trading potential, supported by its proximity to Victoria, Whitehall and key tourist destinations.

The opening forms part of Kuvi’s strategy to build and scale a portfolio of high-growth international hospitality brands, with three Coyo Taco sites planned for 2026 and a long-term pipeline targeting 50+ locations across the UK and Ireland.

Coyo founders Alan Drummond, Sven Vogtland, and Scott Linquist said:

“London is one of the most competitive and influential dining markets in the world, and the perfect place to introduce Coyo Taco outside of the US.

“Kuvi is our exclusive development and operating partner across the UK, Ireland and GCC, and they bring the operational strength, local expertise and disciplined approach needed to scale in markets like this. Their experience across premium hospitality, from site acquisition through to supply chain and full market execution, makes them uniquely positioned to deliver the brand at the right level.

“Launching in London gives us a powerful platform, not just for the UK but for wider international growth. With Coyo Taco’s strong global following, proven fast-casual model and culturally led identity, we’re confident this is the right partnership to build something meaningful across multiple regions.”
