On Friday 27th September, from 8am – 12pm, Bedford Lodge Hotel & Spa will host its annual Macmillan Coffee Morning to raise vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. In 2018, the Hotel’s event raised £475.00 for the charity, and this year’s Coffee Morning aims to beat that total.
Held in the Roxana Bar, visitors to Bedford Lodge Hotel & Spa’s annual Macmillan Coffee Morning will be able to enjoy a hot drink and home-made shortbread biscuits for £3.50, or a hot drink with a cake of their choice for just £5.00. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support, helping the charity with its mission to support everyone affected by cancer and ensure that no-one faces cancer alone.
A delicious selection of cakes will be on offer, created by the Hotel’s award-winning Executive Head Chef, Sean Melville in collaboration with Tiptree Patisserie, an Essex-based bakery. This year’s cakes will include: Coffee & Walnut, Red Velvet, Traditional Chocolate, Victoria Sponge, Passionfruit and Tangy Lemon Drizzle. A number of Hotel team members will also be getting involved with baking and donating cakes for the occasion.

In light of these stats, I feel proud that the team at Bedford Lodge Hotel & Spa is passionate about supporting a charity that helps those affected by cancer, and that we are able to raise valuable funds for Macmillan through our annual Coffee Morning. Each year, we set ourselves the goal to beat our previous target, and this year is no different – we are hoping to raise more than £500!”
