WHISKY INVESTMENT PARTNERS ANNOUNCED AS FOOTBALL LEGENDS GOLF SERIES OFFICIAL SPONSOR

Whisky stockists, Whisky Investment Partners, will sponsor the Scottish leg of the charity golf tournament which sees golfing fans compete against footballing legends.

Specialist whisky cask traders, Whisky Investment Partners, who partner with distillers across Scotland, will this year be sponsoring the country’s first-ever Football Legends Golf Series, a charity golf tournament in aid of Glasgow’s Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice.

Taking place on Friday 3rd September, amongst beautiful scenery at the world-famous ‘Carrick Golf Course, Cameron House’ on the banks of Loch Lomond, the Scottish Legends will play a stone’s throw away from some of Whisky Investment Partners’ esteemed Scottish distillery partners.

As one of the official event sponsors, Whisky Investment Partners is the sole alcohol brand sponsor for the Scottish leg of the six-part series, with a further five regional tournaments happening across the UK.

With special player appearances from former Scottish Premiership players, the tournament will take full advantage of the stunning 18-hole course running along the Loch’s bank at the Carrick Golf Club.

Attendee highlights include 415+ capped legendary Rangers player, manager and now pundit, Ally McCoist; 150+ capped Celtics legend, John Hartson; Rangers-voted best ever keeper, Andy Goram; Liverpool and Rangers star, Charlie Adam; and bona fide star, Ian Durrant. A full list of legends can be seen below.

The day will begin at 10:45 with a golfer registration, followed by breakfast at The Carrick Clubhouse. Players will then receive a welcome briefing, before heading down to the 1st hole on The Carrick course at 12:30pm for a shotgun start. At 5:30pm, dinner guests will arrive at the Clubhouse, just in time for special Chip Shot Challenge and well-deserved drinks. The day will be rounded off with a delicious three-course dinner, speeches, prize giving and an unmissable charity auction.

Alistair Moncrieff, Managing Partner at Whisky Investment Partners, said: “We are delighted to sponsor such a highly-anticipated event and watch Scottish football legends compete on the golf course in a spectacular setting. As stockists of world-renowned Scotch whisky, we’ll be inviting players to enjoy a drink with us after the game at our specially made pop-up bar behind the 18th hole.

“We will also be awarding the winner of the Chip Shot Challenge with a rare bottle of whisky, and for dinner guests, we’ll have donated a starter whisky cask as part of the charity auction. It certainly looks like a day – and night – to remember.”
