Hoar Cross Hall completes further £3m investment – Hip Creative re-styles 98-bedroom retreat

Hoar Cross Hall, the Midlands premier spa estate, has concluded a £3m investment in to its bedrooms.

Each one of Hoar Cross Hall’s 98 rooms has been re-configured, decorated and designed to bring a contemporary twist to the former privately owned country estate. The bedroom design has been overseen by noted hotel stylist, Jamie Strachan of Hip Creative, and is part of a wider £10m capital investment in to the hotel and spa.The rooms draw influence from their stunning setting and use sumptuous fabrics to frame the views over the 30-acre estate and its gardens. Rich, dark hues maximise the heritage features in the Hall’s original bedrooms while calming blues, greys and pops of rose gold bring luxury to the east and west wings. The bathrooms have also been re-configured and in many of the feature bedrooms roll top baths take centre stage.

Relaxation is the order of the stay at Hoar Cross Hall and all bedrooms contain luxurious amenities to help guests shake off their stresses; from plentiful pampering spa products in the bathroom to cossetting bed linen and generous cushions helping set the pace for early evening lounging.

Many of the Heritage Suites are split level and have views over the gardens and, subject to availability, a private balcony or patio area with outdoor hot tub. The Suites also boast a separate lounge area and are the ultimate backdrop for a weekend bolthole.

The investment means that all bedrooms have been clearly categorised; Snug, Country and Heritage, thereby allowing guests to choose their own Hoar Cross Hall experience within their own budget, whether it’s a few days in the spa or an overnighter with a sumptuous dinner and cocktails. Snug rooms are priced from £135 per room and feature Heritage Suites from £405.

Jamie Strachan of Hip Creative says: “It’s been fantastic being involved in this project. Hoar Cross Hall has an enormous family and local heritage and it was key to capitalise on these in the design process while also making sure the hotel is fit for today’s travel savvy guest. The designs bring a sense of contemporary to a classic Jacobean Mansion and we’ve worked hard with the hotel operations team to make sure all of the goodies that guests expect in their rooms are included in the rooms or are readily available.”

Originally built as a family home in 1871, Hoar Cross Hall has been restored and configured to be one of the UK’s award-winning spa destinations, a place to kick back, relax and to take time out. All public rooms radiate the same sense of splendor as when the property was built, and many are still touched by the presence of the Meynell Ingram family who lived there – from the assertive family motto in the entrance hall to the hand-carved monograms in the Ballroom.
