SCREACH GROWS BY THE POWER OF FREE – VENUE MARKETING & STREAMING PLATFORM OFFERS ITS SERVICE FOR FREE TO 400 PUBS

400 pubs across the UK have been offered the chance to stream live sport, turn their existing TVs into marketing tools – and get a brand new 43-inch, 4K Professional TV – all for free, in a bold new expansion plan by Screach: the first integrated venue marketing and streaming service designed and built exclusively for commercial premises.

The offer includes free installation and set-up, access to Screach’s easy-to-use venue marketing system as well as thousands of hours of live sport, including an exclusive offer to receive all La Liga live matches free for three months through Screach’s partnership with the broadcaster Premier Sports. Premier Sports owns the rights to more than 1,500 live sports events, including football matches from Spain’s La Liga and Italy’s top-flight Serie A, as well as the PRO14 rugby and Scottish Cup football competitions.

The Screach offer marks a step-change in the way pubs can access the increasing amount of live sport being delivered by streaming, and will allow them to use their TVs to both attract customers and drive sales.

Running through the cloud and requiring only a broadband connection to deliver HD picture quality to a pub’s TVs, Screach’s ground-breaking partnerships with both content rights owners and advertisers allow it to fund the free roll-out.

Screach’s offer is a compelling alternative to a conventional Sky or BT Sport subscription, which can cost an average pub £20,000 a year for both channels.

Crucially the Screach platform also comes with a digital marketing capability, enabling pubs to turn their TV screens into a dynamic, controllable advertising platform they can use to increase food and beverage sales.

Screach is already in use in thousands of venues across the UK, in both managed pub groups as well as hundreds of independents.

The initial roll-out of free Screach subscriptions and the free TV offer will be focused on central London (200 pubs), Manchester (100 pubs), Edinburgh (50 pubs) and Glasgow (50 pubs) on a first come, first served basis. To apply, venues should visit www.screach.com to register their interest.

Robert Rawlinson, CEO of Screach, commented: “Screach aims to rewrite the rules on how commercial venues like pubs and bars use their TVs. We’ve harnessed the power of our partnerships with hardware providers, advertisers and broadcasters to give 400 pubs free access to our integrated live streaming and venue marketing platform.

“We are acutely aware of the increasing cost pressures pubs face, especially on live sports subscriptions as the market continues to fragment with new entrants. Additionally, a great number of venues have TVs that are under-utilised as marketing tools. Our objective is to help pubs use our next generation technology to access live sport on more flexible commercial terms, and deliver a tangible return by improving their digital marketing.

“I’m very pleased that through our partnerships with hardware providers like Philips Professional Display Solutions, advertisers and sports rights owners such as Premier Sports, we’re now able to deliver the first phase of this fantastic free offer.”

Mark Woods, Corporate Sales Director for Philips Professional Display Solutions in the UK, added: “We’re delighted to be working with Screach on this new streaming service offer, delivered via our HFL5014 Professional TVs. With Chromecast built-in, Google-certified and with access to thousands of apps via the Play Store, these displays will deliver real value for commercial venues, together with a truly engaging experience for their customers.”
