  • New Zealand’s number-one wine brand Stoneleigh has partnered with Patch Plants to create limited-edition Christmas jumpers for the nation’s plants
  • Research* reveals that seven in ten Millennials consider themselves ‘plant parents’
  • The Christmoss bundle is available on Patch Plants website at £45 and Stoneleigh Sauvignon Blanc is available in all major supermarkets nationwide, including Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Tesco, Co-op and Waitrose, at an RRP of £10

Stoneleigh, New Zealand’s number one wine brand, is launching a limited-edition Christmoss jumper for plants this festive season on 7th December, in partnership with the UK’s favourite online plant shop, Patch Plants.

Stoneleigh and Patch Plants have collaborated to create a unique and special edition Christmoss bundle that includes a bottle of Stoneleigh Sauvignon Blanc, a plant, a pot and a festive jumper to get your plant in the holiday spirit. The specially knitted plant jumpers speak for themselves with ‘I’m So Vine’ and ‘I Look Grape’ featured as part of the design.

The popularity of houseplants continues after lockdown, with a 50% increase in searches for ‘houseplants UK’ by the end of 2021 and a reported seven in ten Millennials considering themselves ‘plant parents’*.

Winter chills can be challenging for tropical houseplants, so to help plant owners keep their plants cosy this festive season, Stoneleigh and Patch have created these specially crafted jumpers with NotJustClothing, a social enterprise committed to creating ethical and sustainable products. The Stoneleigh jumpers are available in two festive colours, gold and green, and as you enjoy a glass of Stoneleigh Sauvignon Blanc in the comfort of your home, you can marvel at your new plant addition and agree that they ‘look vine’. A fashionable and functional ‘moss’-have – the festive knitwear will provide insulation for the house plants.

It’s in Stoneleigh’s nature to give back. At its core, Stoneleigh adopts a unique minimal intervention winemaking philosophy and collaboration with nature. The wine is certified vegan and made from 100% sustainably sourced grapes. Stoneleigh is giving back to nature with over 30 hectares dedicated to biodiversity projects and regenerative land, with the wine donating £250,000 to biodiversity causes, actively restoring New Zealand’s nature.

So, it’s no surprise that Stoneleigh is helping bring Brits and plants a little closer together with a limited-edition Christmoss offer for nature lovers.

As part of the bundle, plant lovers can choose between two plants from Patch’s ‘Unkillables’ range; e. Susie the snake plant with her structural patterned leaves, or Cassie the zz plant and her glossy foliage.

Viktoriya Bryksa, Stoneleigh’s Wine Ambassador, said: “At Stoneleigh, we take pride in our collaboration with nature, thanks to our minimal intervention techniques. This Christmas, with the help of our friends at Patch Plants and NotJustClothing, we are inviting anyone and everyone who knows a plant lover or is one, to embrace the festive spirit and enjoy this bundle at home with friends and family.”

Stoneleigh wine is brilliantly intense with flavours of grapefruit, white peach, and passionfruit with a scattering of tropical stone fruits. It can be enjoyed as an aperitif or the perfect accompaniment to salads, grilled vegetables, and delicate seafood like mussels. Perfect for enjoying whilst bathing in plants, awaiting your own to be nurtured.

The Christmoss initiative follows the wine brand’s recent Plant ER walk-in surgery to help plant parents save and care for the nation’s plants. ‘Fir’ real, snap up your Stoneleigh Christmoss bundle available online at Patch Plants
