With over 10 years of experience in the bar industry, Giacomo Guarnera continues his role at The Churchill Bar and Terrace with a new position as Head Bartender.
Giacomo has worked at a number of renowned luxury bars and restaurants over his career, including the Sartoria Bar & Restaurant, Locanda Locatelli and The Churchill Bar and Terrace, where he has been for nearly four years. Throughout his different roles, he has gained a number of skills which he brings into his position today. His time at The Churchill Bar & Terrace has allowed him to develop his technical and creative flair, becoming a valuable asset to the wider bar team.
Giacomo has also completed a wide variety of reputable industry courses and competitions where he has added to his experience and knowledge. Some of these include; the Diageo World Class Competition, the Cava Cup Competition, WSET and a professional bartending course. Most notably, Giacomo was recently shortlisted as one of the UK’s top 100 bartenders as part of the Diageo Reserve World Class.
In his new role at The Churchill Bar & Terrace, Giacomo will assist in developing a range of innovative and classic cocktails inspired by Sir Winston Churchill, which includes a menu change twice a year for the summer and winter terraces. He will also lead the entire bar team and will play a vital role in maintaining the success of the bar and its high standards of customer service.
