The Meetings Industry Association (mia) has revealed two further inspiring speakers for its forthcoming Future Fit conference.
Commercial innovation expert Kate Ancketill and sustainability entrepreneur Dr Geoff Kendall join an impressive line-up of speakers for the event that will offer the industry the chance to take a giant leap into the future.
With remarkable innovation and creativity being forecast, Kate will take to the stage to empower delegates with insights on the technological and human innovations that will change the face of the industry over the next five years.
Reinforcing the conference’s exploration into single-use plastics, Geoff will draw upon over 30 years of scientific research to chart a path to future success in today’s climate. Exploring new ways for organisations to create value, the ‘Making your business Future-Fit’ session will highlight exactly how organisations need to evolve to succeed in the face of today’s biggest challenges.
During the full day conference on 11 March at America Square, London, which will be opened by broadcaster and journalist Declan Curry, delegates will discover the world of exciting opportunities being presented by technological evolution against the backdrop of the economic landscape. Other speakers include leading experts such as AI champion Atsushi Ishii, F&B strategist David Russell and eco expert Rob Holdway.
From artificial intelligence and the UK’s economic future to all things sustainability, the conference will welcome leading venues, hotels, academic institutions and suppliers in a day designed to excite and reveal what lies ahead.
Jane Longhurst, Chief Executive of the Meetings Industry Association, said: “In what is a huge year for the business meetings and events industry, we’re delighted to have developed a programme that will inspire delegates to move forward with the latest innovations and more sustainable outlooks of their work.
“In Kate Ancketill and Dr Geoff Kendall we have two more exceptional speakers added to our line-up who won’t just challenge our thinking, but leave us with the desire to get ahead in the industry. Future Fit will offer delegates the enviable chance to discover what the future holds for our industry, with the fantastic programme designed to engage, educate and perhaps even make delegates feel a little bit uncomfortable.”
