Menu inspired by culinary journey of Mark Sweeney, award winning chef to Queen and Country –
COSMO Restaurants, the group behind some of the most innovative restaurants in the UK and Ireland, has announced the launch of a unique new dining concept in Leeds. Opening its doors on 5th September 2017, COSMO Luxe brings an exclusive twist to the city’s burgeoning restaurant scene by combining exceptional food with the vivid theatre of live cooking.
Situated on Boar Lane in the centre of Leeds, COSMO Luxe caters for food lovers who wish to embrace flavours from across the globe in a single, buzzing atmosphere. The exciting new restaurant features interactive live cooking stations where diners can witness the culinary journey of each dish from pan to plate.
The menu is the creation of Yorkshire-born award winning chef Mark Sweeney, with each dish drawn from his 30-year culinary journey across the globe. Mark has cooked for the Queen and numerous royal dignitaries, while Prime Ministers and A-list celebrities have also sampled his signature dishes. With COSMO Luxe, Mark is back where his journey first began and has a mission to transform the dining experience forever.
Guests will be taken on a culinary journey by COSMO Luxe’s expert chefs, who will talk them through the story behind each plate, from the ingredients and cooking techniques, to the food’s cultural history. For instance, the signature dish of Blackened Seafood with Pineapple Cucumber Slaw was inspired by the cuisine of St Helena, while the dish of Braised Pork Cheeks is a testament to the flavours of Cyprus. At the same time, COSMO Luxe is keen to embrace home comforts. Slow cooked lamb shank pie, a family recipe, is a key addition to a menu that places Yorkshire’s culinary heritage at the heart of global cuisine.
Cosmo Luxe is the latest culinary addition to Leeds city centre, an area which boasts the most restaurants of any city outside London. COSMO Luxe launches on 5th September 2017 and is open for lunch from 12:00pm to 4:00pm on Saturdays priced at £16.99. Dinner is served between 5:30pm to 10:30pm Monday – Thursday and 5:30pm to 11:00pm on Fridays, priced at £21.99 and Saturdays at £23.99.
