CEDA Gets Academy and E-Learning Boosts

CEDA reports positive starts to both its new E-Learning platform and the CEDA Academy for young industry talent, both launched at the recent annual conference.

“For E-Learning we have received replies from 21 members who are now registered on the site as training managers. Combined they have committed to a total of 276 employees to undertaking 2702 e-learning modules over the next 12 months. This a great start to boost CEDA’s learning and education portfolio, and very good news for the wider foodservice equipment sector as our members increase their knowledge and skills base,” comments Adam Mason, CEDA Director General.

Developed in partnership with Maguire Training, the web-based E-Learning platform offers 100 video-based learning modules, accessible from any device with internet access. The core learning areas cover: Sales/Service, Management & Leadership and Personal Development.

Following the launch and promotion of the new CEDA Academy to members the association already has 12 nominations from ten member companies and three Platinum partners to be represented within the CEDA Academy.

“The response to the CEDA Academy is excellent and we see that our members and partners are keen to have their young and upcoming talent in it to share their ideas and vision. They will meet twice per year with the first meeting scheduled for September. We see real value for here for CEDA and its members, and the wider industry, as our talented rising stars come together to discuss the challenges they face and share the ideas that will make a positive impact both now and in the future,” concludes Adam Mason, CEDA Director General.
