This week, Love Beets juices will hit branches of Holland and Barrett, ASDA and Tesco local.
The juice range, which is now available in two flavour variants and in two sizes offers an all-natural, convenient and refreshing way to make the most of beetroot’s health benefits. It is targeted at fitness enthusiasts and consumers wishing to lead a healthy and active lifestyle.
Two variants are available: ‘Beet Juice’, a naturally sweet drink with a rich, smooth taste, containing beetroot juice with a splash of lemon juice; ‘Cherry Berry + Beet Juice’, a blend of beetroot juice and apple, blackcurrant and cherries. Both variants are available in 250ml and 750ml PET bottles for personal, family use or fridge stocking.
Produced by G’s Fresh, one of the UK’s leading fresh produce businesses, recognised as the industry experts in the production and processing of beetroot products from field to shelf. In summer 2014 G’s were recognised with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in recognition of Innovation and development within the beetroot category.
Beetroot is considered a nutrient powerhouse, as reported this week*. They are full of antioxidants, protect against heart disease and stroke and they also fight against aging and lower cholesterol. The biggest interest around beetroot has been its nitrate content; dietary nitrates have been shown to increase physical endurance in recent medical studies.
Vittoria Desiati, Marketing Manager for Love Beets, comments: “Over the past 9 months the brand has been in limited distribution. This has very much been a test and learn phase for us, and now we are ready to expand and go out wider with our refreshed image. The new design is fun, youthful and very much fits with current trends – consumers are looking for products to help them lead a healthy, active lifestyle. Love Beets does just that.”
She adds: “Love Beets prepared beetroots and juices have already been a success in the US and Canada, and we are looking forward to seeing the brand expand in the UK.”
All Love Beets beetroots for juicing are farmed in the Fens and prepared at G’s facilities in Cambridgeshire. The refresh will be promoted through experiential, social media and PR activity.
