The brewery will donate and double all proceeds from sales of the limited-edition lager to help those battling ongoing bushfires in Australia
At Camden Town Brewery we’ve been saddened by the terrible bushfires burning their way across Australia in recent weeks, a cause which is very close to our hearts, with our founder Jasper Cuppaidge, and many other brewery employees, hailing from Australia originally.
To support the country’s ongoing efforts to rebuild communities following the Australian fires, our brewers have developed a special Supporting Australia brew to help raise funds for those affected.
One hundred per cent of proceeds raised from keg sales of the 4.6% lager will be donated to the Australian Salvation Army, an organisation working hard to help communities that have been affected by the fires, providing food and drink to first responders and evacuees, and offering ongoing support to communities.
What’s more, we’ll be matching all donations to raise additional funds for the charity.
The limited-edition lager will be going on tap at pubs across London from 24 January, including The Horseshoe, and other venues such as Mare Street Market, The Commercial Tavern and Fountain & Ink.
For those unable to try the lager but who would still like to help, donations can be made on theCamden Town Brewery website directly to the Australian WWF, to help provide emergency care, and restore homes, for injured wildlife.
Jasper Cuppaidge, founder of Camden Town Brewery, comments: “Australia will always be a special place for me, and when we saw the bushfire crisis we knew we had to do something to help support those affected. We’ll be doubling all proceeds from the Supporting Australia lager, with the money going directly to the Australian Salvation Army to help support and rebuild communities.”
