Elite Hotels’ Management Trainee Programme opens for entries

Independent hotel group Elite Hotels has announced the opening of its Trainee Management Programme, offering budding hospitality professionals an unrivalled chance to train at one of the UK’s leading luxury hotel groups.

Entering its eighth year, the Trainee Management Programme guides applicants through a 20-month programme of activity, giving them the key skills, confidence and experience to forge a career in hospitality management. Entries are open to those currently studying or working in the hospitality industry, who will enjoy first-hand experience of working at the forefront of the industry, alongside hotel professionals.

Applications are now open and close on 28 February 2020. Successful applicants will then be invited to an assessment day in April, ahead of the September 2020 start.

Those accepted onto the scheme will receive expert mentoring from senior managers at Elite Hotels and will spend time at the group’s four and five-star hotels: Ashdown Park Hotel & Country Club in East Sussex, Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa in Bedfordshire, Tylney Hall Hotel & Gardens in Hampshire and The Grand Hotel in Eastbourne.

Core modules focus around each hotels’ different departments, from conference & banqueting to marketing and concierge, trainee managers will gain experience in an exciting mix of hotel operations. The breadth of training offered is coupled with supportive guidance from the hotel general managers, training & development teams and other colleagues, and upon completion, trainee managers are given the opportunity to interview for managerial positions at the hotels.

The most important attribute that Elite Hotels is looking for in new recruits is a true passion for hospitality, ideally with some industry experience. The programme is open to anyone who is studying or working in the industry and striving to progress their hospitality careers.

Graeme Bateman, Managing Director of the Elite Hotel Group said: “We are delighted to announce the eighth edition of our Trainee Management Programme, and look forward to meeting potential recruits in the coming months. One of our key values at Elite Hotels Group is nurturing up-and-coming hospitality talent, providing a welcoming and supportive environment for individuals to hone skills and grow in confidence, so it is a pleasure to train and work with the next generation of hospitality leaders.

“Previously we have been able to offer permanent job roles to all trainee managers that have completed the scheme, which is testament to the hard work and dedication the trainees and Elite team put in, to ensure the programme is a success. It is a great joy to watch our trainee managers’ continued growth as Elite employees and in the wider sector.”
