Join the Typhoo Team on stand L1045 at Lunch! Show
Typhoo is proud to launch its latest innovation, Fear Free Tea at this year’s Lunch! Show. Available to try on stand L1045, the new blend not only delivers a richer, fuller flavour but also represents a significant step forward in the ethical sourcing of tea.
New Typhoo Fear Free Tea is part of Typhoo’s bold mission to end sexual violence against women in tea plantations. It turns out there is a wrong way to make tea; according to BBC Africa* three out of every four women working on tea plantations fear sexual violence. Typhoo has responded to this by turning over a new leaf, making massive changes to how they source their tea, the tea-makers have moved from hundreds of growers to working hand-in-hand with just three pioneering plantations that prioritise women’s safety.
With every cuppa, operators who serve Typhoo Fear Free Tea will not only be serving a delicious, bold tasting brew, but will do so knowing that it’s doing a world of good too as Typhoo is also going one step further by putting a portion of their profits into funding the fear free mission.
Make Every Cuppa Count
Speaking about Typhoo’s stand on sexual violence in tea plantations, Mike Simmonds, Senior National Account Manager at Typhoo said;
“Tea is a big part of our British food and drink culture, 100 million cups are drunk every day, but it shouldn’t come at the cost of someone’s safety. We think tea should be made fear free, so that’s what we’re doing – tea made right! With new Typhoo Fear Free Tea, we’re not just changing the way tea is sourced, we’re challenging the industry to do better. We believe that every cup of tea should be made right, and that starts with ensuring the women who grow it are safe.”
10% More in Every Bag
Available in an English Breakfast Caffeinated and English Breakfast Decaffeinated format, Typhoo Fear Free Tea now has 10% more tea in every bag, so ethically minded operators can also enjoy better value with Typhoo.
Mike adds;
“With 10% more tea in each bag, we’re offering even better value and quality, this extra tea not only tastes good but also reinforces our commitment to delivering a stronger, more satisfying brew. We believe that our customers deserve the best and we’re proud that Fear Free Tea delivers better taste, better value, and is a tea that shows they care.”

About Typhoo
The oldest tea brand in Britain has been transformed and re-launched with an important mission at its heart; to end sexual violence against women who work on tea plantations. Typhoo is raising awareness of the issue of sexual exploitation on tea plantations, and revolutionised its recipe to encourage tea drinkers to choose fear free tea. From hundreds to a handful of tea plantations, Typhoo’s pioneering new supply chain also means its new Fear Free blend is the best yet. Tea that does good and tastes good. That’s tea made right.
