BRAND NEW LAUNCH TO THE UK AND EXCLUSIVE TO AMATHUS DRINKS

THE FRENCH ANSWER TO THE ITALIAN APEROL SPRITZ – DOLIN BITTER DE CHAMBÉRY.

Introducing Amathus Drinks’ newest addition to its Aperitif offering and France’s answer to the Aperol spritz, Dolin Bitter de Chambéry.

Family-owned specialist drinks importer, distributor, and retailer, Amathus Drinks has launched the new Dolin Bitter de Chambéry, an exclusive to Amathus Drinks’ offering.Created by the last house to still produce vermouth under the Chambéry appellation, Dolin Bitter de Chambéry comes from the infusion of plants, herbs and fruits in a mixture of neutral alcohol and wine. The new aperitif is best enjoyed over the summer months and this Chambéry bitter explores a whole fruity and floral register. The profile of the bitter is elegant yet lively and refreshes the palate. The cranberries bring just the right amount of acidity and bitterness to the first nose and is fruit driven, with juicy strawberry, pomegranate and peach notes, followed by honey. There are also fine notes of dark chocolate and heady flowers (rose, peony).

A lighter and more subtle bitter than most of its rivals, this Dolin can be enjoyed in a cocktail or simply chilled with a little orange.

Further tasting notes:

Nose: elegant, lively. The cranberries bring just the right amount of acidity and bitterness to the initial nose, also marked by notes of grenadine and strawberry. It evolves on a fine note of dark chocolate and heady flowers (rose, peony).

Palate: delicious, precise. It transports red fruits with voluptuousness and refinement. In the mid-palate, its bitterness refreshes the palate. Then, peaches and pomegranates refer to the magnificent colour of the robe of this particularly alert and complex bitter.

Finish: long, silky. Its bitterness gradually turns into honey as a scent of elderberry runs through it from side to side. The end of the mouth reveals crunchy cranberries with an acidulous and bitter juice. The retro-nasal olfaction is floral, just like the empty glass (rose petal).
