The fast-growing Berlin-street food brand opens with five-day giveaway
It’s official, the Berlin-street food brand Döner Shack is set to open with a bang on Baker Street on 27th March 2023, offering 200 free kebaps a day to celebrate its debut in London. The fast-casual brand that specialises in kebaps, chicken schnitzels and milkshakes, is an exciting new addition to the famous street and aims to change the perception of kebabs in the UK.
Excited fans of the brand are excited to see the popular street food arriving in the capital, after the success of its restaurants in Manchester, Leicester, Leeds and Glasgow. As part of the Baker Street launch, visitors will be able to grab a free kebap from 27th–31st March between 12pm – 2pm and experience a taste of Berlin with authentic kebaps bursting with flavour. The store will further boost the dining options available on one of the busiest streets in the city and is the first of 10 restaurants planned in the next year.
Spread across two floors, the restaurant has a state-of-the-art kitchen with robotic kebab cutters and a custom-designed travelator to transport the food to customers. There will be several self-ordering kiosks with multiple ordering and payment points to ensure speed of service is best in class (five minutes on average) and a milkshake station, where guests can choose from six different flavoured signature milkshakes.
The 35-seater restaurant is open for indoor dining, take-away, delivery or click & collect. It will create a vibrant destination where guests can enjoy a menu featuring over 15 signature dishes to suit all tastes and affordability. Lean, flavoursome premium quality döner and shawarma are brought to life, using freshly baked traditional Turkish breads, with a choice of home-made signature sauces and salads.
The hugely popular boneless chicken schnitzel bites are also on the menu (in portions of 8, 10 and 12), with sauces and rubs in a variety of flavours and different heat scales. These can be washed down with Döner Shack’s signature milkshakes. Gluten free, vegan, vegetarian and halal options are also available.
