Following two successful years as general manager of the Charlecote Pheasant hotel, this month Alice Davies will be moving to a group role within the Hotel’s owning company, Vine Hotels. Dan Rowell is appointed to replace her in the Hotel’s top job with Jamie Hitchins joining the group’s Birmingham West Bromwich hotel.
Dan Rowell has been with Vine Hotels for over 15 months, opening and then successfully leading the team at the company’s Birmingham West Bromwich hotel. He brings extensive knowledge of the Midlands area along with strong food and beverage, operations, and team leadership experience.
Jamie Hitchins joins to take on the vacated role of general manager at the Birmingham West Bromwich hotel. His experience at the Brook Marston hotel and with Marriott lies in strong team management, maintaining and building local relationships and sales development.
Promoted from her general management post at the Charlecote Pheasant, Alice Davies assumes the position of group accommodation services manager, a newly created job that is part of an ambitious development plan for the hotel company. She will oversee the housekeeping services at Vine Hotels across the UK, aiming to ensure best practices and maintain the high standards that the company sets.
Dan commented: “I am thrilled to be taking charge of the Charlecote Pheasant. The Hotel has a strong reputation in the local area and has attracted extensive events and leisure business over the last two years. It is an exciting time to work with the team on new opportunities, whilst consolidating our position as a local hotel of choice.”
Vine Hotels CEO, Garin Davies added: “It’s particularly gratifying that two of these appointments are internal promotions. We pride ourselves at nurturing talent and identifying opportunities for key team members to grow their careers at Vine Hotels, which is also one of the main reasons that Jamie Hitchins has chosen to join the group. I wish them all every success in their new roles.”
