Chef Robin Gill is excited to announce the launch of a 40-seater terrace at his restaurant Bermondsey Larder on Tower Bridge Road. With an all-new menu and outside grill, the space will play host to live music and DJ sessions throughout the summer and parasols and blankets are on hand for whatever the British weather might bring!
For the occasion Robin and Head Chef George East have created a new terrace food menu which features a selection of starters such as “Sweet Promise” Lobster Beignet with Furikake and Fried Courgette Flowers with Goats Curd. Main courses, cooked on the outside grill, include Whole Dover Sole, Smoked Roe Butter Sauce with Mousserons and Salt Marsh Lamb, Nutbourne Tomatoes and Green Olive Vinaigrette. Desserts such as Gariguette Strawberry Eton Mess with Elderflower and Pomelo Grapefruit Sorbet, Campari, with Belcari Olive Oil round the menu off nicely. Guests will be able to choose à la carte or enjoy the ‘This is how we do it’ set menu which features a selection of snacks, a main and a dessert for £48.
Group Bar Manager Daniele Laera has also created a special cocktail menu for the terrace and the restaurant’s newly launched Aperitivo Hour, available Wednesday to Saturday from 5 to 7pm. Refreshing cocktails take centre stage such as Memories of Blackberrying (ELLC Gin, Homemade Crème de Mûre and Lemon) and the Larder Bellini (Pear and Raspberry Extract and Prosecco). Meanwhile General Manager and Sommelier Alessandra Tasca has put together a wine flight to serve alongside the set menu, with weekly special natural wines available by the glass.
Every Saturday, for the ‘Saturday Ska Sessions’, DJ Mr Scorpz will be playing ska, reggae and funk beats while on Sundays live music acts will entertain guests from 1pm until closing. The initial line up of bands and musicians includes:
● The Sugar Kings – 5 June
● Louise Messenger Duo – 12 June
● John Drain Duo – 19 June
● Steve Somers Duo – 26 June
