Gordon’s Gin has revealed a new, sophisticated bottle.
London, UK, NOVEMBER 2021: Gordon’s Gin has revealed a new look – an evolution of Gordon’s classic artwork with premiumisation at the heart. Made from up to 85% recycled glass, the new bottle design is being rolled out globally. With 4 in 10 gins purchased in GB being Gordon’s Gin1, this new bottle has been designed not only to retain the loved familiarity for their loyal customers but also to appeal to even more consumers. This stylish bottle emphasises the flavour experience of each variant with subtle taste cues highlighted on the design.
The updated bottle design pays homage to the rich history of Gordon’s, from its initial conception in Southwark, London almost 250 years ago. It displays a Royal Warrant, granted to Tanqueray Gordon & Co. as suppliers to the Royal Household, the same scripted Gordon’s font on a green glass bottle since the inception of the brand in 1769, and the iconic boar’s head.
Mark Jarman, Global Head of Gordon’s Gin said: “We are incredibly proud to launch the latest fresh and stylish design for Gordon’s gin, which builds on our rich history and familiarity whilst highlighting the taste cues and making the bottle even more attractive. On top of the eye-catching aesthetics, this bottle is also part of our journey towards our wider sustainability targets2, ensuring all packaging is widely recyclable by 2030. So, we are incredibly proud of this latest development.”
Made at Cameronbridge distillery in Fife, which is 100% powered by renewable electricity, the design and production of the bottle aims to offer gin-lovers a positive choice while maintaining its award-winning taste. Made from up to 85% recycled glass, the newly designed range, is an important step in the journey to making our packaging widely recyclable by 20302.
Society 2030 is all part of Diageo’s commitment to help create a more inclusive and sustainable world within the next 10 years. Diageo have set some bold and ambitious targets that include becoming net zero carbon in direct operations to ensuring all packaging is widely recyclable.
The brand new bottle design from the World’s No.1 International Gin3, has already started to be rolled out globally across all Gordon’s variants worldwide and shines a light on Diageo’s wider commitment to sustainability.
