A new German street food concept, Döner Shack, is taking Manchester by storm with the opening of its second restaurant on 22nd November 2021.
Challenging the status quo of kebabs in the UK, Döner Shack’s fast-casual restaurant serves unrivalled and ethically sourced ingredients with the convenience and speed that customers desire. Located in the Manchester Arndale Centre, the restaurant will offer all-day dining, takeaway, delivery and click & collect in a cool, contemporary environment.
Döner Shack comes from the same team behind Döner Haus, the Berlin-inspired restaurants in Glasgow and Manchester. Building on the success of Döner Haus, founders Sanjeev Sanghera and Laura Bruce decided to create an equally successful brand with the most innovative systems and best-tasting products. The first Döner Shack opened in Leeds in 2019, and a further two opening in Leicester and Glasgow will quickly follow the Manchester launch later this year.
“Coming from humble beginnings, we’re evolving into a multi-site business with big plans for the future. We feel incredibly excited to be opening in Manchester Arndale,” said Sanjeev Sanghera, co-founder and managing director of Döner Shack. “We understand that now more than ever, people don’t want to compromise when it comes to quality, taste and their dining experience, which is why we’ve taken our time to perfect each of these elements. It’s only once we’re happy and confident that we can provide the best customer experience, that we open the doors to our restaurants.
“We want to change people’s perceptions of the kebab and for our lean high-quality kebabs to become an everyday option for eating out. Whether that’s a snack on the go during a busy lunch break or a fun evening with a group of friends. It’s time for a new generation of street food, and we’re thrilled to be leading the way. Our aim is for Döner Shack to be the number one kebab brand in the world.”
Döner Shack has taken on a 15-year lease in the Halle Place development at the heart of the Arndale shopping centre, joining other food and drink operators. The 2,800 sq ft unit stands out with its funky, inviting style and the team are looking forward to serving a range of authentic kebabs using freshly homemade artisan bread with signature sauces. As well as classic doners, there will be halloumi and falafel, vegan schnitzel and currywurst, with a selection of draft beers and soft drinks.
The address for Döner Shack Manchester Arndale is Arndale Shopping centre, Manchester, M4 3AH and the opening hours are: Monday to Saturday – 11am to 9pm and Sunday – 11am to 8pm.
