2020 may have been rescheduled but Beavertown has you covered with its tongue-in-cheek take on some of summer’s biggest cancelled events
Everything in 2020 has been cancelled, not just holidays but gigs, festivals, the tennis – the list is endless. Today, Beavertown Brewery has announced an answer to your calendar languishing empty with Beavertown Summer 2.0h – a humorous summer line-up to replace the real-life events you were heading to (but now can’t) with-a-very-big-twist. 2020 might not have those big, epic, moments, we all love. You know, like singing in a field with thousands of others to your favourite track or dancing on the streets of All Saints Road in Notting Hill. But let’s be honest, it’s the small moments that are getting us by this year. That’s why we’ve put together some small summer moments, with little fun gestures to save a bit of summer.
People will be able to sign up to the replacement online service via a link here with Beavertown’s answer to small summer moments to be automatically added to their calendars, in one simple click.
First up, will be the destination of all destinations. Glastonbury’s cancellation hit deep but with Beavertown Summer 2.0h you can still head there… albeit virtually. Beavertown will be live streaming straight from a farm. That’s right, a beautiful green field in Somerset but not with bands or anything like that, with the natural inhabitants of Somerset, some cows, a sheep or two, might even see horses, if you look hard enough. It will almost be like being right there at Glastonbury this June. We’re going to head to a farm, set up a camera, and live stream straight to your living room on Friday 26th June. Let the gentle moos and bahs wipe those tears away.
When Beavertown’s replacement ‘events’ come around – people can click on the invite and enjoy a let’s say… alternative experience on Beavertown – be it a live stream in a field, come rain or shine, or watching people being pelted with tennis balls. Beavertown will send friendly reminders with a link to tune in before the fun starts.
Beavertown will be creating a special playlist to listen to whilst you’re watching the first live stream. Of course, the experience is best enjoyed with a cold Beavertown beer in hand.
Beavertown Summer 2.0h will have a line-up of small moments throughout summer to keep spirits high and a smile on your face, so please watch this space for more.
