Camden Town Brewery announces Blooming Hells, the first spring lager in its Seasonal Hells range
Camden Town Brewery has announced its latest beer to the Seasonal Hells range, Blooming Hells Lager. This limited-edition spring lager is inspired by the rain, shine and bloom of British Springtime.
Brewed using fruity southern hemisphere hops from New Zealand, South Africa and Australia, Blooming Hells is crisp and fresh with citrus and fruit-salad aromas. However, we wouldn’t have blooms for Blooming without British bumblebees. Over the last 80 years, bumblebee populations have been decimated due to a reduction in wildflowers that they need for food and shelter. So, Camden is doing something about it.
Camden Town Brewery will support the Bumblebee Conservation Trust by putting seeded beer mats in every four-pack of Blooming Hells at Sainsburys, encouraging drinkers to grow wildflowers in their gardens to help bumblebees this spring. Elsewhere, standard four-packs will be available from Co-Op and single cans from M&S. The brewery will also donate 20p from each can sold in March to help support the bumblebees.
Finishing off Camden’s seasonal range, Blooming Hells will be the final lager designed by 2019 Seasonal Design Collaborator, Dutch illustrator Bodil Jane, and follows the successful launches of Strawberry Hells Forever, Harvest Hells and Hells in Hibernation.
Jasper Cuppaidge, Founder of Camden Town Brewery, comments: “We have now launched a full year of Seasonal Hells beers, with our final addition, Blooming Hells. We always love taking a fresh look at our Hells lager, and it’s great to see how much our Camden fans have been enjoying the seasonal Hells too. This initiative has given the brewery a platform to shout about causes important to us and support amazing charities, including the Bumblebee Conservation Trust this Spring.”
Camden Town Brewery’s Blooming Hells has an ABV of 4.6% and will be available from 9th March at the following:
- 4 packs with seeded beer mat for £6 at Sainsburys
- 4 packs for £6 at Co-Op
- Single cans for £2 at M&S.
