British bath manufacturer, Cabuchon Bathforms, is launching 3D interactive models of some of its most popular deep soaking tubs and built-in baths. The company’s recently launched Takara deep soaking tub is the first to be illustrated in this way.
Published on the company’s website, Cabuchon.com, the new 3D models allow specifiers and proprietors to get a clear sense of each bath’s shape and configuration – something that is not always easy when viewing static images alone.
Cabuchon marketing manager Jordan Petts explains the reasoning behind the decision. He notes: “We appreciate that hoteliers, interior designers and architects need to have a firm grasp of a bath’s shape and aesthetics but, for some time now, we’ve been conscious that photographs and drawings don’t always give a clear and complete picture.
“Our data sheets provide all the internal and external dimensions that a specifier would expect, but they don’t necessarily capture the essence of a bath’s appeal. Our new interactive 3D models are designed to resolve that. They allow users to turn the bath in any direction so they can see it from the side, from above, from beneath and from any oblique angle they choose. That’s sometimes essential for picturing how a bath might be used or how it might fit with a particular bathroom design.
“We’re starting with the Takara – a compact but very comfortable Japanese-style deep soaking tub – but we’ll be rolling out additional models over the coming months.”
The roll-out will be gradual but, in the meantime, details of all Cabuchon baths, including photographs and technical data sheets, can be found on the company’s website.
