The Inn Collection Group is looking forward to welcoming two new Inns in the heart of the Lake District, Cumbria.
As renovation efforts continue onsite, the director of the hotel chain, Sean Donkin said: “We were extremely fortunate to acquire two stunning sites in the heart of the Lake District, and we are excited to be able to provide our guests with the ideal location for exploring such a beautiful part of the world”.
The Ambleside Inn is set to open in early December 2019, following a full restoration of the current building which has a 300-year-old legacy. Take in the panoramic views of Lake Windermere from Waterhead Pier, and the historic ruins of Galava Roman Fort, then return to pure comfort at The Ambleside Inn.
Less than 10 miles away nestled next to the village of Bowmanstead, The Coniston Inn will provide a warm welcome to guests from March 2020. The Inn Collection is carrying out a full refurbishment of what was formerly the Waterhead Hotel, breathing a new lease of life into the site. Explore Coniston Water, Brantwood Museum and take the scenic route from Tarn Hows, then relax at the end of the day at The Coniston Inn.
Mr Donkin added “We’re aiming to restore these stunning sites to our signature Inn Collection standard, while also maintaining the character of both. We’ve approached both projects with a great deal of consideration to the surrounding National Park, making sure that each site keeps the natural beauty of the area at its core”.
Progress is continuing towards the run up to the grand openings of both events, and Inn Collection recently hosted a recruitment fair to promote local employment opportunities.
Book your stay at either of the two stunning additions now, the ideal place to be based for a weekend of exploring pubs in Ambleside, Lake District walking trails and the Old Man of Coniston.
