The Lost Words
The cocktail and food pairing in The Lost Words sharing set menu takes its inspiration from the bestselling book, The Lost Words, which responds to the art and language that has been lost through time and has inspired many classical musical projects.
The cocktail available with this set menu aims to bring the forgotten flavours of childhood to life, sweet to taste and served with yellow rose petals. The cocktail is paired with a small plate of peppered mackerel to complement the light and delicate citrus flavours. The dish is topped with a vanishing foam, gin infused espuma.

Symphonie Fantastique

100 Queen’s Gate Hotel’s ESQ bar has been designed as a discreet drinking den, inspired by the parlour bar of former resident, Victorian aristocrat William Alexander, and his exotic travels. Here guests can explore crafted cocktails and innovatively infused spirits, in a relaxing and intimate ‘home away from home’ setting, complete with eclectic curios and artifacts evoking the grand expeditions of a bygone era. Two neighbouring private dining rooms can also be booked for an exclusive gastronomical experience or intimate meetings.
The hotel was the former home of Victorian aristocrat William Henry Alexander, and as such has been stunningly transformed into a hotel that embraces the building’s heritage, retaining much of its original 1870s architecture.
