European Coffee, Tea & Soft Drinks Expo, the only, and fastest growing, hospitality industry show 100% devoted to the profitable service and sales of coffee, tea and soft beverages, is putting tea under the spotlight at London’s Olympia, May 21st and 22nd. A number of initiatives will substantially boost the tea element of the event to meet the sector’s need to improve its tea offering to maximise customer satisfaction, sales and profitability, including tea masterclasses, seminars, workshops and food pairings.
The event also includes scores of tea exhibitors, and a tea trail showcasing those hidden gems in the sector.
Tea has seen a huge premiumisation in the past two years with consumers increasingly demanding a better quality product and experience, and are prepared to pay more for it. It follows the trend of coffee, which has transformed into a premium artisan product.
Annie Swift, managing director, European Coffee, Tea & Soft Drinks Expo said, “Tea is the UK’s most popular drink but makes up less than 10% of Out of Home sales. This is a HUGE opportunity! In addition to a dedicated area for tea suppliers, we are working with National Tea Day and other tea experts on the programme in the Tea Theatre, highlighting the opportunity for hospitality executives to understand how to increase footfall and improve sales and profitability through tea.”
Speakers in the Tea Theatre include:
Jessica Worden, Coffee Manager, GAIL’s Bakery
Steven Driscoll, Restaurant Manager, The Berkeley
Thomas Rabuel, Restaurant Manager, Club Gascon
