Escape to Spain with Salt House Tapas’ New Summer Menu

Liverpool’s celebrated Spanish eatery, Salt House Tapas, has announced a mouth-watering new summer menu guaranteed to have you dreaming of Mediterranean sunshine, including exciting and irresistible additions as well as well-loved classics.

The urban tapas bar is the perfect spot for a chilled beer, and traditional Spanish small plates or snacks with a modern twist.

Visitors can enjoy a light lunch of the finest Spanish charcuterie – acorn fed Iberico, chorizo and manchego shavings alongside fresh sourdough, oil and PX vinegar.

Highlights from the delicious new sharing plates include the sizzling garlic prawns, hake pil pil with celeriac puree, caramelised cauliflower and baby leek,  Stornoway black pudding with Serrano jam, shallot cream, and quail egg, and the paprika roasted chicken wings, with honey and chimmichurri sauce.

Vegetarians will delight in dishes such as tempura cauliflower with saffron labneh and salsa rosso, highlighting the Moorish influence on Andulucian cooking, whilst padron peppers with flaked sea salt and patatas bravas will keep classic tapas fans content. For something extra special, opt for the torched figs, roasted grapes, PX onions and honey ricotta served on sourdough.

The dessert menu features new sweet treats like a refreshing lemon cheesecake with raspberry sorbet or a classic Catalan Crema infused with orange and cardamom.

The drinks menu has also been refreshed for summer with a modern twist on old favourites – enjoy a Sherry Coloda or a Valencian orange infused Liverpool gin from the curated gin bar, best enjoyed alongside Spanish salted almonds, sweet pickled Guindillas chilis or Gordal olives.

Salt House Tapas is bringing a slice of Spanish sun to Hanover Street this season, so head down to enjoy the warmth and hospitality of a bar in Barcelona, right on your doorstep whatever the weather.
