Changing attitudes, transforming lives and creating second chances.
Tickets for the spectacular The Clink Charity Ball 2019 have now been launched. In its fourth year, the dazzling fundraiser, in association with venue partner Royal Lancaster London on Hyde Park, is a highlight on the pioneering prisoner rehabilitation charity’s calendar.
Taking place on Friday 11 January 2019, the night of fun and philanthropy will raise crucial funds to support the charity’s aim in reducing reoffending rates through work experience, hospitality training and education to encourage their rehabilitation.
The three previous balls have seen the amount raised increase year on year and the events have now raised a combined total of over £120,000.
The occasion will also help to further develop the Clink’s training projects across Her Majesty’s Prison Estate, following the success of existing schemes at HMP Brixton, HMP High Down, HMP Cardiff, HMP Styal and HMP Send as well as Clink Events, the charities event catering venture.
Guests will enjoy an all-British four-course menu using locally sourced ingredients and entertainment all kindly provided by headline sponsors Bidfood and HIT Training.
The gala evening will include an auction and table raffle with fabulous prizes generously contributed by our sponsors, live entertainment and the chance to hear from several Clink graduates on how the scheme has helped transform their lives.
The Clink Group Ambassador and Chairman of the Ball Committee, Vic Laws MBE said: “We are delighted to be holding our Charity Ball at the Royal Lancaster for the fourth year. Not only are we raising funds for The Clink but giving an opportunity to our graduates from The Clink and Centrepoint as well as the students from Westminster Kingsway, Bromley and Lambeth Colleges to experience working in a five star environment. We are also thrilled to announced that HIT Training will be the headline sponsor for the event, along with Bidfood.”
John Hyde CBE, Chairman of HIT said: “At HIT Training, we have a positive vision of what apprenticeships and training can do to improve an individual’s skills and therefore life chances. Like The Clink, we take pride in helping people become the best they can be and it is with absolute delight that we are sponsoring this year’s The Clink Charity Ball. The Clink Charity’s commitment to using hands on training and qualifications to pave the way for a brighter future is a great source of inspiration for the hospitality industry.”
