With four category wins, and gold and silver commendations, Camden Town Brewery were the most awarded British Brewery at this year’s prestigious beer awards
The world best breweries gathered last week for the 2019 World Beer Awards which saw Camden Town Brewery recognised as a global leader in the British beer industry. Taking home a total of six awards, Camden Town Brewery’s accolades include four category wins, as well as a Gold and Silver commendation. Highlighting the diversity of Camden Town Brewery’s beer portfolio, this year’s ceremony awarded Camden’s core range including its flagship lager Camden Hells, plus its annual limited-edition barrel-aged imperial pilsner, Beer 2018.
Camden claimed the most prizes of any British brewery, with the Beer Team taking home wins for Show Off Juicy Lager (Hoppy Pilsner), Beer 2018 (Strong), Gentleman’s Wit (Belgian style Witbier) and the new Week Nite Any Day Lager (Light) which launched less than six months ago. The beer which started the brewery nine years ago, Camden Hells Lager, picked up a Gold commendation in the Classic Pilsner category, with Camden Pale Ale, another core range beer, receiving a Silver commendation in the American-style Pale Ale class.
Ahead of its 10-year anniversary next year, Camden is raising a proud toast to another successful awards ceremony. Last week’s wins follow a long line of recent awards for the Brewery, including two silvers at the International brewing awards 2019, three accolades at the bartender-nominated Class Bar Awards 2018 and Gentleman’s Wit being crowned Gold in the Belgian-Style Witbier category at last year’s World Beer Cup®.
